Raja Sandow, born P.K. Nagalingam, was a pioneering figure in early Indian cinema, known for his exceptional contributions as an actor, director, and producer. Born in 1894 in Tamil Nadu, he began his career in silent films and quickly gained fame for his charismatic screen presence and athletic prowess. Sandow's performances in films like "Bhaktha Bhodhana" (1922) and "Anadhai Penn" (1930) established him as one of the leading stars of his time. Beyond acting, he was also a successful filmmaker, producing and directing several hits. His dedication to the craft and innovative approach helped shape the Indian film industry.
