Sivaraju Venkata Subbarao (14 June 1916 – 1967), known by his pen name Butchi Babu, was an Indian short story writer, novelist and painter known for his works in Telugu literature. “కుముదం నాకొక ఎనిగ్మా.. ఒక మార్మిక నేస్తం. నాకు పన్నెండేళ్ళ వయసులో తనకి పదేళ్ళు. అప్పట్నుంచీ పరిచయం. ఇరవై రెండేళ్ల పాటు సాగిన మా పరిచయంలో ఆమెతో మాట్లాడింది ఆరుగంటలు, ఆరు వందల మాటలు మాత్రమే. ఇన్నేళ్ళలో తనకి పెళ్లయింది, నలుగురు పిల్లలకు తల్లి ఐంది. నేను నిరుద్యోగ రచయితగా మిగిలిపోయాను. పెళ్ళి చేసుకోలేదు. కలుసుకున్న ప్రతిసారీ “నన్ను గురించిన కథ వ్రాయవూ!?” అని అడిగిన కుముదం, అతి సాధారణ యువతి.. ఏ పత్యేకతా లేని తన గురించి ఏమీ వ్రాయలేకపోయాను, కానీ చివరి క్షణాల్లో ఆమె అడిగిన ఒక్క ప్రశ్న నన్ను అల్లకల్లోలం చేసింది.. కుముదం…నన్ను మర్చిపోని, నేను మర్చిపోలేని ఆత్మీయ నేస్తం..!!” 1946 లో బుచ్చిబాబుగారు వ్రాసిన కథ “నన్ను గురించి కథ వ్రాయవూ!?” పరిచయం, కథనం, విశ్లేషణ..
